| You Belong in Paris |
![]() Stylish and expressive, you were meant for Paris. The art, the fashion, the wine! Whether you're enjoying the cafe life or a beautiful park... You'll love living in the most chic place on earth. |
I did love Paris...Hmmmm
When you are anticipating becoming a parent, you don't hink of some of the things you find yourself saying. Here are some of our favorites:
S. to TA (4yo): You have coffee breath! (He had been drinking a 'spot' of coffee after dinner - decaf of course)
C. to TA (almost 2yo): What are your glasses doing in in your soup? (He signed 'all done' - not sure if it was the for the soup or glasses...)
to both: Don't sit on your sister/brother/the dog.
C. to EQ (2): Get out of the pantry! (the pantry is a closet type. She walked in and closed the door behind her!)
C. to EQ (2): Sorry sweetie, girls can't stand up to go peepee in the potty.
More to come, I'm certain!
I realized there haven't been many photos lately, so here are some from random days/events. Enjoy!!!
On a side note, we too the kids shoe shopping last night. TA got size 11 1/2, EQ 7 1/2. In March TA was in a 9 and EQ in a 6. I wonder who is feeding them miracle grow! We have been getting busy for fall. TA is promoting to the 4 year old class at school and church. Both kids are going to be in Awana this year. TA will be a Cubbie again and EQ will be a Puggle. TA learned so much about Jesus and the bible last year. They start with scripture memory and his memory is amazing!
I am also trying to find a Chinese class for him. And he wants to take gymnastics (aka 'nastics). He walked up to me tonight, balanced one arm on the chair, grabbed his foot and lifted his leg straight up, saying, "Watch me Mommy!" Once upon a time I could do that too...many years and pounds ago!
We have finally found a church . Our sunday school class is great!!! The teacher uses greek to really get to the real meaning of the scripture. I dig that! The kids are enjoying their classes as well. We didn't intend on going to a Baptist church, but God obviously had other plans!!!
Well - it's late and past our bedtime. EQ is sitting on my lap, night owl that she is. Guess I better tuck both of us in. Sleep tight!
C.
mini graham crackers paired on a plate
one square of chocolate per each pair
two mini marshmellows on top of the chocolate
20 seconds in the microwave
what do you have?
S'MORES!!!!
Graham cracker, graham cracker
Chocolate bar
sittin' by the campfire under the stars.
you cook some marshmallows, marshmallows - sticky and sweet
put 'em all together and you've got a treat!!
I want s....more!
and a couple of happy gooey kids (well - one at least. EQ wasn't too keen on the gooey aspect!)
Random useless info:
All prunes are plums, but not all plums are prunes!
TA: I'm getting big.
C: Oh? How do you know?
TA: I'm getting hair like Daddy on my body. (and then he told us where Daddy has hair...won't write that. Use your imagination!)
I thought boys weren't obsessed with body hair until they hit puberty!!!!!
Sitting at the table eating dinner, EQ was being shown photos for an upcoming eye exam. One of the pictures is a duck. She says du-y. Then says "mon-y" "oo-oo-oo-oo-ah-ah-ah-ah" complete with monkey motions. We lost it!
During our recent trip to WDW, we were all eating breakfast. TA says, "Mom." I looked at him since when he calls me this it is usually something interesting - "Yes, Tom." His reply, "Pa's the man." Pa wears the title with pride - he earned it from a very reliable source! :)
On June 22 we left by AutoTrain (meaning our car was on the train) for Walt Disney World. The kids loved it!
TA in his bunk and strapped in.
EQ sneaking up the ladder to her Daddy.
Disney...hot, humid, crowded, overstimulating. Riding in the cockpit of the monorail (aka Elmorail by TA) was the highlight! Ok - and having breakfast with Mickey and crew at Chef Mickey's. EQ would disagree though. She was terrified of the characters. We'll return, but not in the summer.
EQ would have stayed here talking to Pooh all day if we had let her.
EQ and Pa on "it's a small world"
S, EQ, Granny and Pa on the magic carpet ride - complete with spitting camels!
Then TA turned 4. And wears a 10 1/2 shoe. And is such a big boy!!
His Thomas the Tank Engine cake with grandparents and presents!
Birthday breakfast...what are pancakes without candles on your birthday???
And we saw lots of family! Granny and Pa from SC. Grandma T and Grandpa E from FL, cousins, aunts, uncles from all over (CA, MD, AR, FL)
C with cousins and her great aunts. These reunions happen every other year at someone's house and C has only missed two since they started in 1973.
More photos soon...
